President and COO of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® speaks at internatinal franchising event
(Lansing, Mich.) – Melanie Bergeron, president and chief operating officer of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®/INTERNATIONAL, Inc. will speak at an international franchising conference hosted in Europe this week.
Bergeron is a featured speaker at the International Franchise Association/European Franchise Federation Franchise Symposium in Brussels, Belgium. She will talk about the development of the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® system and its expansion plan. Bergeron will also participate in the Belgium Franchise Trade Mission in Brussels. That event is hosted by the International Franchise Association and the United States Commercial Service.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is the nation’s largest franchise moving system with more than 185 locations worldwide and nearly 1,300 trucks on the road. The company was started by two brothers from Okemos. When the pair left for college, their mother Mary Ellen Sheets quit her job with the state and took over the business.
The company remains a family business, Sheets’ daughter Bergeron is president and the original “two men” are vice-presidents. There are locations in the United States, Canada and Ireland. The TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® system completed its 2 millionth move in December 2005.
