(Woodinville, Wash.) – Six months after their first move, the team at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® can’t wait to celebrate the business at their official grand opening.

At 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, the company will open its doors to show the community what they are all about – strong customer service, giving back to the community and treating everyone as they’d like their grandmothers to be treated. Additionally, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®/INTERNATIONAL, Inc. Founder and CEO Mary Ellen Sheets and her daughter, President and COO Melanie Bergeron will be on site to talk about the company history and their excitement to join the Seattle community.

The Woodinville office has nine employees and two trucks. General Manager Brad Kirker said he is excited to expand even more in 2006. The staff has provided moving and packing services for five episodes of the A&E show, “Move this House.” Episodes with the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® team will run Jan. 15, Feb. 12, March 5 and March 19. Kirker said the show offered a great opportunity for his staff to show the importance of quality movers and a good pack job.

“We have already successfully completed more than 200 moves here,’’ Kirker, 25, said. “I can’t wait for people to learn more about our company and our excellent customer service. This party is a great way for the community to meet their new neighbor – TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®.’’

Kirker has already made community service a large part of his business. The team has helped the Forgotten Children’s Fund, Toys for Tots, Holiday Stockings for Homeless Children and they are on-call for Hopelink, a local food donation delivery service.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® was built on strong core values and high expectations for customer service,’’ Sheets said. “The Seattle team has proven to be valuable members of the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® family and we are thrilled at their success in the community. We are a moving company that customers can depend on – we want to exceed all expectations and we’re doing that here.’’

At 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, Sheets and Bergeron will speak to a group of business students, faculty and alumni at Seattle University’s Pigott Hall Auditorium. The mother-daughter duo from Lansing, Mich. will discuss the company history and where they plan to take the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise system in the future. They will also being looking for new managers to join the system.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® was started by a mother and her two sons in the 1980s. The home and business moving company has franchise locations across North America. Services include moving, packing, unpacking. Locations also sell boxes and packing supplies.
