(Atlanta, Ga.)TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchisees from across North America and Ireland moved into Atlanta for a week of networking, education and recognition of company accomplishments.

More than 400 attendees from the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® system arrived this weekend and will stay through March 15. The event is being held at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel downtown. This is the 15th system wide meeting for the international franchised moving company.

Founder and Chair Mary Ellen Sheets began franchising her moving company in the late 1980s. With an initial investment of only $350, she was able to expand the company internationally. And with the help of her children, Melanie Bergeron, now CEO, Brig Sorber, president and Jon Sorber, executive vice president, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® continues to grow and succeed.

“This is another amazing turn-out for our event – more than 85 percent of our franchisees are here,’’ said Bergeron. “Atlanta holds a special place in my heart. I opened the first location outside of Lansing, Michigan here in this city a long time ago.’’

This year’s meeting theme is “In the News.” Participants will attend sessions on topics that include marketing tips, technology training and employee retention. There will also be an exhibit marketplace with more than 55 booths of the company’s participating suppliers, tours of city landmarks including the Georgia Aquarium and Atlanta’s High Museum of Art and a company golf outing.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® focuses on strong customer service. The system strives to exceed customer expectations every time. Each year, the franchise that is most successful in their customer service efforts is recognized at the Annual Meeting Awards Night. The company is also very focused on giving back and recognizes the franchise that donated the most time over the past year as the Humanitarian of the Year.  Both are coveted awards in the system.

There are more than 190 locations in worldwide and nearly 1,300 TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® trucks on the road. There are 14 TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations in Georgia including several in the metro-Atlanta area. Locations are independently owned and operated. All complete home and business moves, packing and unpacking services as well as selling boxes and packing supplies.
