Moving company executive joins MMA Board of Directors

(Lansing, Mich.) – Jon Sorber, executive vice president of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®/ INTERNATIONAL, Inc., was recently elected to the Michigan Movers Association Board of Directors.
The MMA is a non-profit organization that provides education, advocacy, communication as well as tariff administration to more than 180 moving companies in Michigan. This is the first time anyone from TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®/INTERNATIONAL, Inc. has been elected to this influential board.
“I am honored to have been elected to the board of directors of the MMA,’’ Sorber said. “With more than 20 years of experience in the moving industry in Michigan, I look forward to making a positive contribution to this fine organization.”
Sorber, one of the original “two men” also runs the Lansing and both Grand Rapids franchise locations. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® began in the 1980s when Sorber and his brother Brig Sorber were in high school. The pair moved locally until they went to college. Then their mother, Founder and Chair Mary Ellen Sheets, took over the business. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is now in 29 states, Canada and Ireland and has more than 190 franchise locations.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations offer moving, packing, unpacking for homes and businesses. Franchises also sell boxes and packing supplies.
